5 hazardous chemicals in your favourite Fast-Foods

Everyone heard this title before and knows about the hazards of junk food available as Ready to eat or package goods.
Anyone can agree with me that, homemade recipes do not taste as delicious to restaurant food or package foods, right?
The reason for this is food additives or taste enhancers they use to give it a certain flavor, which cannot be achieved naturally. With the uprising of the food industry in the last few decades, the nutritional value of food has deteriorated drastically, and taste, flavor, carbohydrate content have increased to satisfy taste buds rather than satisfying our bodily requirements. Our focus has shifted from a balanced diet ( carbs, protein, fat, minerals) to high carb and fat content with nasty chemicals to satisfy our cravings.
Isn't this sounds like addiction to you? If the main aim of a substance is to satisfy a person's psychological cravings what's the difference between that substance and a recreational drug???

1. Monosodium Glutamate (MSG)

This compound is also infamously known by the company name "Ajinomoto". It is used in almost every fast food, package food we eat, the huge popularity of this one is due to its direct effect as Neuro-stimulant like caffeine, cigarette, and cocaine.
MSG has been in the market since 100 years and has always been controversial from the beginning. It is blamed for adverse effects ranging from headache to kidney failure.
Companies and FDAs are trying to regulate it and provided safe quantities, but who are we kidding right!!! Your street food guy has to satisfy his customers, not the FDA.

2. High Fructose Corn Syrup

This one is a most hidden and enormous source of unwanted simple sugars with dead calories. I has became public enemy no.1 popularly known as Devil's candy nowadays
It has been heavily criticized for negative health effects, more precisely obesity and Type 2 Diabetes. It has been most infamously found in so-called "healthy" morning snacks such as corn flakes and Musli with added sugars.
What's the point of fat-free food if it contains huge amounts of sugar??!!

3.Palmolein Oil

Commonly known as Palm Oil. I myself was personally shocked to even talk about this, as I was under the impression that it was banned from use in India.
This oil is highest source of free cholesterol and all other bad fats , which are an open invitation to heart diseases.I was really stunned to see that most of the namkeens are wafers ard made with Palm Oil . And the reason is Just to increase its shell life.
So, as far as proportionality is concerned, shell life of Khatta-meetha mix is inversely proportional to shell life of human heart.

4. Sodium Benzoate

Sodium Benzoate is a daily used product in food industry and household. Everyone of use is aware of soda-infused soft drinks.
It is also used as pickling agent in the food industry.
When mixed with vitamin C-rich foods it forms benzene rings which is a pro-carcinogenic compound. Judicious use of this carbon compound is therefore necessary

5. Food Coloring agents

Everyone has noticed those juices, pizzas and burgers from your favorite fast-food joints look more alluring and attractive than homemade foods with came ingredients. This is the illusion created by food coloring dyes.
Do you know that these agents are made from petrochemicals??!! Governments try to regulate these, but a complete ban on these hazardous chemicals is the only solution.
