4 consumables for Good Night sleep

For induction of sleep, melatonin production is vital inside our nervous system. The human body has a natural circadian rhythm, which stimulates melatonin production after sunset. Today, due to continuous exposure to UV rays through TV, laptops, Smartphones, etc. natural production of melatonin has been hampered.
Insufficient sleep and Insomnia have increased consumption of sleep pills in the last decade, which is alarming as it has numerous side effects.
There are certain in Indian foods which are used since ancient times to induce sleep. These are common daily-use products. But, the timing of consumption stimulates melatonin production without and adverse effects related to pills.

Here's the list.

1. Nutmeg + Warm milk
It is also known as Jaiphal. More commonly used as a spice in various Indian delicacies.

Despite being a taste enhancer, it is also an inducer of serotonin and melatonin.
When consumed with warm milk before bedtime, the combination of both acts synergistically to induce sleep.

Nutmeg also relieves pain, increases libido, and has antioxidant properties.

2. Dark Chocolate
This is a delicious treat at night, but only in small quantities, it is a powerful stimulant of serotonin and melatonin.

Dark chocolate powder/syrup with yogurt will be the best bedtime combo as yogurt also helps in melatonin release.  Calorie-conscious people can have sugar-free options.

Dark chocolate is also rich in all rare minerals, antioxidants and is considered good for the heart.

3.Cashew Nuts
Many "fad diets" have discarded cashew nuts as high-calorie and fatty food. Well, I consider it as complete non-sense. Anything which is produced locally cannot harm you when consumed in adequate quantity.
Cashews are tasty dry fruits. When consumed directly 4-5 nuts before bedtime or mixed with milk, yogurt can help you sleep faster and happier.
It is rich in minerals and essential fatty acids. Also, it has, low glycemic index which helps in fighting late-night sugar cravings,  high fiber, and protein content

4. Chamomile Tea
Chamomile is an Herb from the Asteraceae family. Tea is made from dried flowers infused in hot water.
It's a very good caffeine-free alternative to black/green tea. It is sweet in taste, hence a perfect bedtime drink for sound sleep.

It is also a powerful antioxidant hence it is good for skin and hairs and improves digestion
